SULPHANILIC ACID AR compound readily forms diazo compounds, it is used to make dyes and sulfa drugs.

Application & Usage

Sulfanilic Acid is a colorless, water soluble compound which has many applications. The product is used as a herbicide, textile and paper softener, fire agent, and as a metal cleaning agent. Its main uses are in Electroplating.

Notes

They are derivatives of sulfanilic acid (p-aminobenzenesulfonic acid), and they are used for prophylactic and therapeutic treatment of infections caused by gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria and some protozoa
