Application & Usage

Florisil is a polar normal-phase chromatography packing that has been used for years for sample cleanup, particularly for removing fats and oils.

Procedure

To prepare for use, place 100 ± 10 g of Florisil® into a 500-mL beaker and heat to 140 °C for approximately 16 hrs. After heating, transfer to a 500-mL reagent bottle. Tightly seal and cool to room temperature. When cool, add 3 ± 0.1 mL of organic free reagent water.
